- Assignments will come in two forms:
- Daily warm-up of the lesson of the previous day
- Daily assignments which provide daily practice of the topic of the day, you will be given class time to work with peers and receive help from the teacher.
- Individual, in class assignments/Pre-Quizzes: students will complete these assignments without peer help, and minimal help from the teacher – the intent of the assignments is for the students to assess their understanding of material prior to assessments, Quizzes and Unit Test
- Quizzes: Each Chapter will have 1-3 quizzes prior to the Unit test
- Unit Test: Each Unit will have a major test.
- If students earn a higher mark on their Unit Test than the quizzes, the Unit Test will provide basis for the Unit assessment.
- If students earn a lower mark on their Unit Test than the quizzes, the Quizzes will also be included in the Unit assessment
- All dates for Quizzes and Unit Tests will be posted in the classroom and on the website, it is your responsibility to be prepared for these assessments on the day scheduled.
- If a class is missed, no matter the reason, it is expected that you check the website for material/lessons missed. It will be your responsibility to obtain/copy notes from fellow students or attend flex or come in after school to get copy them from mine.
There will be a Cummulative Final at the end of the term worth 20%
